Remember back in 2007, when overnight, the real estate and mortgage industries were dramatically changed. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MORTGAGE RATES? It is safe to say, 2010 will bring higher rates than 2009. When the Federal Reserve allocated $1.25 trillion toward the purchase of Mortgage backed Securities in November of 2008; no one knew how long it would take for this money to be depleted. As of January 15th of this year, $1.137 trillion of this amount will already be spent and by the end of March---it is expected to be completely depleted.

What does this mean? Once the Fed steps out of the Market, the likelihood of an increase in higher rates is probable. The Feds have basically bought down any home purchases by 1% using this allocated money. In addition to this, the Federal Tax Credit offered for buying a home until April 30, 2010 will expire. Another benefit of $6500 to $8000 that is not likely to be renewed a second time.

Looking at the total picture--NOW IS THE TIME FOR BUYING A HOME!!!

What about SELLING A HOME??? Yes, you will be selling your home for less now than in a few more years. HOWEVER, to take advantage of your buying power with lower interest rates, and incentives and the lowered home prices, you need to BUY NOW!
